If one's elitism is a moral elitism in which they wish to transcend the ignorance of the many, this elitism is not immoral. Just because someone is smart enough to understand that something is wrong, does not mean they are doing something wrong. What is most agreed upon is not what is true.
I wasn’t criticizing WWS at all! I love them. I think you misunderstood. I was criticizing the original poster’s notion that they’re “false screamo” or what have you. I was saying there’s a lot of pointless musical elitism in screamo now, that’s all. Thank you for the concern, interest, and civil response, though! It’s good to see that people are still truly passionate about opinions and ideas.
